Friday night was the opening of an amazing show: Human Powered Works. I’m so proud to say that my extremely talented Junior Designer Silvi Naci curated the show— you go girl! Her love of street art and bikes (her only mode of transportation) are apparent throughout the exhibit. The photos by Howard Cannon portray the variety of talent and energy that filled the room.

Of course, being obsessed with shoes, I spotted the Nike’s which seemed to be sprayed gold but on closer inspection I realized that they were solid bronze… guess the white laces threw me off my game.
I particular loved the mannequin foot created by Laia Albaladejo’s and so did my husband. If you don’t get to the show you will be able to view it in our loft!

There was also the cool installation above by Alphabet Soup and the “back-pack” chair made of wood and rope that hung flat on the wall and included a live demo.

Highly recommend that you stop by and view bike art, welded toys, decks by Alphabet Arm Design, Marka27, and other cool art by Nineta, Pro Blak, Swat, 9&saintvitus, Enamel Kingdom, Heather McGrath, Chris Piascik, Morgan Thomas Anderson, Thomas Buildmore, Nick Z, Matthew Zaremba, Tony Luong, Martha O’Connell, James Buford, Zachary Teachout, Tom Lutz, Damion SIlver, Anti Designs, Shayna Yasuhara, Josh Falk, Nick Colen + Skunk.
