TSE 2012 Tampa: A Living garden where trees come to life! Incredible, beautiful, innovative, enchanting!

How could you resist an apple from this tree? The opening night of The Special Event 2012was filled with passion and beauty in a magical garden. We were WOWed by living trees, sensual aerialists performing “Adam and Eve”, innovative music and exotic foods. Temptation was in the air!

The night began with a dramatic entrance into the Living Garden. Breathtaking florals were projected on the ceiling, uplit orchid trees, rich colorful butterfly bushes and Living Trees clinging to the walls and coming to life. Fig & gorgonzola cannoli was embedded in dried bean dessert surrounded by cacti. Every detail made the night come to life thanks to  Event Chairs: Stefanie Berry and Byron Lopez from SHOWORKS,INC.

The aerialists and characters entertained the audience with their sensual moves and inspired costumes presenting the illusion of a dream!

The Nirvana Room flickered with white candles, surrounded by white leather décor a la inlaid rhinestones from AFR and soothing sounds from Matt Venuti. A Romantic and relaxing vibe with the help of free massages!

How do you get a 50 ft. tree in a ballroom? View Behind The Scenes at The Special Event Opening Party 2012 produced by Voila  Cinematic.

REAL SWEET!
A fashion-forward 13 year old Bat Mitzvah girl became a stylish author for the night and premiered her 2011 hit book “Fashion Eye Candy”. The red-carpet featured a full-size dress constructed from lollipops, gummi treats, peppermint sticks and rock sugar. Picture Perfect Parties created this stylish decor including fashion model centerpieces and other sweet touches. BK Design’s dog-tag necklace invitations, runway place cards and graphics were the perfect accessories! The yummy book cover was shot by Scottish photographer Gordon McGowan, the event photography by Howard Cannon and the hot DJ from Siagel Productions.

SNEAK PREVIEW: In Vegas setting up for the “HP in Action” sales event… a mere 7500 attendees. The room is amazing and the talent is “flying”. More to come tomorrow… BAM!

TOUCH ME! A sexy business card.

BK Design created the logo and the square suede business cards for Naomi Raiselle and Ilene Sunshine, the co-founders of Style Revolution. The matte foil silver logo adds a contrasting texture to the suede creating a sophisticated look that you just can’t stop caressing! FYI, the color of the card will of course change with each season.

Style Revolution offers a à la Carte menu so you can find a fresh look for fall or refine your entire wardrobe. Both women have individual styles and encourage you to dress and express yourself from the inside out.

Human Powered Works

Friday night was the opening of an amazing show: Human Powered Works. I’m so proud to say that my extremely talented Junior Designer Silvi Naci curated the show— you go girl! Her love of street art and bikes (her only mode of transportation) are apparent throughout the exhibit. The photos by Howard Cannon portray the variety of talent and energy that filled the room.

Of course, being obsessed with shoes, I spotted the Nike’s which seemed to be sprayed gold but on closer inspection I realized that they were solid bronze… guess the white laces threw me off my game.

I particular loved the mannequin foot created by Laia Albaladejo’s and so did my husband. If you don’t get to the show you will be able to view it in our loft!

There was also the cool installation above by Alphabet Soup  and the “back-pack” chair made of wood and rope that hung flat on the wall and included a live demo.

Highly recommend that you stop by and view bike art, welded toys, decks by Alphabet Arm Design, Marka27, and other cool art by Nineta, Pro Blak, Swat, 9&saintvitus, Enamel Kingdom, Heather McGrath, Chris Piascik, Morgan Thomas Anderson, Thomas Buildmore, Nick Z, Matthew Zaremba, Tony Luong, Martha O’Connell, James Buford, Zachary Teachout, Tom Lutz, Damion SIlver, Anti Designs, Shayna Yasuhara, Josh Falk, Nick Colen + Skunk.

Fourth Wall Project, 132 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA  thru 8.28.2011

This group show features Interpretations of the human engine. All manner of self powered transit form the content and medium interpreted by a wide survey of young artists from Boston, NY, and Philadelphia with affiliations ranging from vandalism, the MIT media Lab, the Distillery, Artists For Humanity, SCUL(anarcho-bike gang) and Paint Pens in Purses.
